I recently asked my friend EJ, a very talented graphic designer, would she design for me a simple logo for my website, business cards, Facebook page etc. We had a few discussions, threw a few ideas around and eventually came up with the design you see on the head of all my pages.
I wanted to avoid any obvious camera references, I think enough people have used the obvious ones without me adding to it. But I still wanted to have some reference to the world of photography, I am a photographer after all!
So we came up with the idea of using the infinity symbol. It can have multiple meanings, but is also on practically every lens or camera ever made. It also fit in with the simple design that I wanted.
The Unique Precious Forever part, I came up with while on a recent course on creating Copy. I think it fits nicely in with my style of photography and, hopefully, will resonate with others.
I'm delighted with how it turned out and am proud to have it on my website and business cards. I'm sure as time passes I'll end up tweaking and changing it, but for a first logo, I think it's pretty good. If by chance anyone reading this is looking to create a logo or need help with any design project, I can highly recommend EJReilly, who's work is highlighted on her website, which can be found here.
